Keeping You up to Date on ACA News

With President-elect Trump set to move into the White House later this month and Republicans firmly in control of both the House and Senate, there’s been plenty of speculation about what comes next for the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and healthcare coverage in the U.S.

Some common questions include:

  • Will the ACA will be repealed entirely or only amended?
  • How will current coverage be affected if/when the law changes?
  • How soon would any new legislation or changes to the existing law take effect?
  • Will plan requirements change, such as young adults up to age 26 still being allowed on their parents’ insurance?
  • And the biggest question – what’s going to happen to the price of health insurance?

While we can’t predict the future here at the LHSFNA, we are keeping a watchful eye on news and analysis that may help answer these and other questions or provide insight into the direction the next administration could take.

The Fund gathers the most helpful of this information into our bi-weekly Health Care and Insurance News Bulletin. This bulletin covers topics specific to the rules and regulations surrounding the ACA, including marketplace enrollment, uninsured rates, quality of care, general information on health insurance and health plans and more.
