OSH Division Welcomes New Staff Member

The LHSFNA is excited to welcome a new staff member to our Occupational Safety & Health (OSH) Division. This January, Nate Schreiber joined the Fund as an Industrial Hygienist, and will provide technical expertise in controlling workplace hazards and ensuring the health and safety of the members and affiliates of LIUNA. His skills and experience will be an asset to the Fund as we work to continue improving safety interventions and programs for working men and women across North America.

“I’ve always had a passion for making sure workers show up to a safe jobsite every day, and I’m excited to put my experience to work here at the LHSFNA,” said Schreiber. “The work LIUNA members do can be hazardous, but by using the tools and data at our disposal, we can continue to improve on and advocate for the most protective safeguards possible.”

Nate has nearly nine years of environmental, health and safety (EHS) experience. He’s worked in a variety of industries, including carbon fiber manufacturing – the production of composite materials used in automotive, aerospace and renewable energy applications – as well as agriculture and food production. Throughout his career, Nate has served as an EHS Coordinator, EHS Manager and Safety Consultant at various organizations, where he’s been tasked with protecting workers from a wide variety of occupational hazards. In these positions, he’s gained hands-on experience building safety programs, facilitating safety training, conducting site evaluations and liaising with OSHA and other regulatory bodies.

Nate has a B.S. in Environmental Health from Illinois State University and is currently studying to become a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH). In his spare time, he enjoys staying active and working on cars, a hobby he’s had since childhood.

Please join us in welcoming Nate to the LHSFNA family!
